The Lebanon Housing Authority is overseen by a six-member Board of Commissioners. Each Commissioner must be a legal resident of the City of Lebanon, NH and generally must have an interest/expertise in affordable housing issues. One member shall be a public housing resident or assisted housing participant within the programs administered by the Authority.

The role of the Board is to establish administrative, operational, admissions and occupancy policies in accordance with Federal and State guidelines. It is also responsible for approving all budgets, financial reports, contracts and disbursements. It reviews all newly proposed housing assistance programs within the City’s jurisdiction and submits recommendations and/or reports to the City Council and any other local board as warranted.

Commissioners are appointed by the Lebanon City Council for staggered five-year terms. The expiration dates vary. Commissioners may be reappointed or replaced by the Council when their term of office expires.

The LHA Board of Commissioners generally meets monthly to conduct business matters as needed. The meetings are usually held on the third Thursday of the month at 9:00 AM in the office of the Executive Director at the LHA offices at 31 Romano Circle in West Lebanon unless otherwise posted.
